About the Role
We are seeking an Engineering Project Technician to support the Engineering Project Lead in delivering industrial CAPEX projects efficiently and safely. The role involves project planning cost estimation contractor supervision drawing reviews and ensuring all projects meet technical standards budget requirements and timelines. You will also support documentation reporting and continuous improvement activities across all project phases.
Responsibilities
Support the Engineering Project Lead in defining project requirements and preparing project plans.
Prepare and review project BOQs to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with market trends.
Develop and review preliminary and conceptual drawings based on project briefs and technical requirements.
Supervise and coordinate project contractors monitor deliverables and ensure compliance with specifications SHE and FS policies; regularly update the Project Lead.
Assist in ensuring that projects are completed on time within budget and according to specifications; compile lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Update the factory master plan with new installations.
Assist in preparing CAPEX project budgets and cash-out projections for the companys annual budget.
Prepare regular reports and action lists to help track project progress and meet scheduled deadlines.
Identify project issues propose solutions and escalate to the Project Lead for timely action.
Requirements
HND or First Degree in Engineering or a related field.
37 years of relevant experience in project engineering or industrial project support.
Strong project management skills (planning time management negotiation).
Competence in cost estimation and project budgeting.
Basic drafting skills (AutoCAD/Revit).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good technical understanding of building and engineering standards.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Strong interpersonal and contractor management skills
