About the area

The Office of the Vice-Chancellor (OVC) is a small dynamic professional team that supports the Vice-Chancellor and Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor in leading and managing the University to achieve its mission. The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Advancement & Diversity) works closely with academic leaders and People & Culture to advance diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives academic workforce planning and career development strategies.

About the opportunity

  • Play a key role in delivering strategic DEI initiatives including Athena Swan accreditation.
  • Support academic workforce planning and career development across the University.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to foster an inclusive and high-performing academic community.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in diversity equity and inclusion strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in data analysis reporting and digital tools to inform strategic decision-making.

Special Requirements

  • A current National Police Clearance Certificate.
