Document Controller
The Document Controller is responsible for establishing implementing and managing robust document control systems to support the successful delivery of infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all project documentation is accurately recorded organized and distributed in accordance with company client and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and oversee comprehensive document control systems tailored to infrastructure project needs.
Ensure all project documentsincluding drawings contracts specifications and reportsare accurately logged stored and distributed to relevant stakeholders.
Implement and enforce standardized document numbering revision control and filing procedures in alignment with organizational and client standards.
Manage and optimize Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) to support efficient document retrieval workflow processing and information sharing.
Verify that all documentation meets applicable industry standards regulatory requirements and project-specific guidelines.
Conduct routine audits of document control processes to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.
Support quality assurance teams by providing timely and accurate documentation for audits inspections and compliance reviews.
Serve as the primary point of contact for document-related inquiries from internal teams contractors and clients.
Prepare and issue regular document control reports including status updates on approvals revisions and distribution activities.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to manage stakeholders and contractors.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years in document control preferably in infrastructure projects.
Education: Bachelors degree in any discipline or equivalent
Proficiency in ACC ProjectWise and Aconex.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word Excel Outlook).
Knowledge of document formatting including layout standards styles templates and formatting rules for formal documents.
