Inspireare looking to appoint a Youth and Community Coordinator to lead the day-to-day coordination and delivery of a front-line team of Youth and Community Practitioners operating across Ipswich and the Babergh Districts.

You will be managing staff rotas and providing operational support to youth workers sessional staff coaches and volunteers. You will oversee the delivery of open-access sessions (including sport) holiday clubs detached work school-based activities and targeted one to one support including evening and possible weekend delivery.

You will drive high-quality needs-led provision by undertaking local needs assessments developing new projects and ensuring programmes support children and young people to set goals overcome challenges and access further opportunities. The role holds key relationships with referral partners schools families and community organisations representing Inspire at stakeholder meetings and maintaining strong local networks.

A core part of this role is ensuring young people are active partners and leaders in shaping services while maintaining robust safeguarding health and safety and professional standards. You will manage budgets and resources effectively ensure accurate data recording across internal systems and continuously improves delivery processes to maintain high-quality safe and inclusive youth work.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • providing day-to-day operational support to Youth and Community Practitioners ensuring the coordination of rotas across both sites for staff and volunteers
  • coordinating staff and volunteer participation in youth programmes
  • supporting safer recruitment of youth workers sessional staff and volunteers
  • leading and delivering youth provision including open-access sessions holiday clubs detached work school programmes one to one support and evening sessions with possibility for weekend sessions
  • empowering and supporting young people through one-to-one and group work sessions helping them set goals overcome challenges and access additional services
  • building strong relationships and partnerships acting as a key contact for schools referral partners families and representing Inspire at stakeholder meetings
  • assessing local needs and develop new projects maintaining community networks and creating programmes that respond to the needs of children and young people
  • ensuring safe high-quality delivery including safeguarding health and safety compliance behaviour management and equipping staff to manage risk
  • championing youth voice ensuring young people influence decision-making programme delivery and opportunities for leadership
  • overseeing resources budgets and data systems ensuring accurate recording regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of programmes.
