Head of Information Technology

Your Opportunity

The Head of Information Technology forms part of the IGO Senior Leadership Team and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. We are seeking an influential leader who is passionate about using technology solutions and data tools to drive change in our business that will make us more productive secure and most importantly safer.

Key accountability areas of this role include;

• Provide effective leadership to a high-quality technical team of 12 with 3 direct reports;
• Refine implement and lead IGOs Technology and Information Management strategy;
• Advance and progress fit-for-purpose solutions including AI and other emerging technologies to ensure continuous improvement of technology infrastructure and services;
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across IGO to ensure alignment of objectives and priorities;
• Ensure IGOs information and intellectual assets are strongly protected by cyber security systems; and
• Information management including governance and systems.

About You

• A purpose driven leader who values their team and puts peoples safety as a top priority;
• A strategic thinker who is passionate about technology information management and data tools;
• Demonstrated experience improving business performance and safety through the use of technology;
• Deep technical knowledge of infrastructure and cyber security;
• Tertiary qualifications ideally with postgraduate studies in IT or Information Management;
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role;
• Excellent communicator with the ability to negotiate and influence decisions and outcomes; and
• A leader with a focus on creating a culture where people thrive.
