We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT RPT) to join our team in providing exceptional school-based therapy services in Jacksonville. This role involves working collaboratively with educators parents and other professionals to support students in achieving their physical and educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students physical therapy needs within the educational environment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs and goals.
- Collaborate with educators and other team members to integrate physical therapy strategies into students daily activities and curriculum.
- Provide direct therapy services to students utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Monitor and document student progress adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate and train school staff and families on strategies to support students physical development.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students educational plans.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
- Experience in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in physical therapy.
