Senior Test Automation Engineer

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality reliability and performance of our products by driving the design development and execution of robust test automation solutions. You will lead automation initiatives from the ground up analyse test results identify defects early in the development lifecycle and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high engineering standards.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design development and maintenance of automation frameworks for web and API testing
• Automate end-to-end functional test scenarios from scratch ensuring comprehensive coverage and scalability
• Analyse automation test failures investigate root causes and support development teams in early defect identification
• Review nightly automation execution results and communicate defects with actionable insights
• Mentor and guide junior automation engineers promoting best practices and continuous improvement in test automation
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams within an Agile/Scrum environment to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
• Contribute to building reliable CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and quality assurance
• Perform End to End testing and ensure delivery timelines are met in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
• Ensure adherence to coding standards automation design principles and quality engineering practices

• A university degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field
• 57 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with strong hands-on automation expertise
• Proven experience in UI automation for web applications Playwright expertise is mandatory
• Strong experience in API automation (REST APIs) using Rest Assured or similar tools

• Demonstrated ability to design and build automation frameworks from scratch
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Java (version 8 or above)
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes from a QA/automation perspective
• Strong coding skills analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in collaborative team-oriented environments
• Strong interpersonal skills initiative and a continuous-learning mindset
