Job Summary

A talented Application Database Developer with expertise in SQL Server and PostgreSQL is needed to design develop and maintain robust database solutions that support critical business applications. Key Responsibilities:

Design develop and maintain database objects including tables views indexes stored procedures triggers and functions in SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Write efficient optimized SQL queries and scripts to support application functionality and reporting needs.
Collaborate with application developers to understand data requirements and translate them into database solutions.
Participate in database schema design and data modeling to ensure data integrity and performance.
Optimize database performance through query tuning indexing strategies and execution plan analysis.
Assist in database migration upgrade and deployment activities.
Develop and maintain ETL processes and data integration workflows as needed.
Ensure database security by implementing appropriate access controls and permissions.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development testing and production environments.
Document database designs development processes and coding standards.
Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong experience in database development using Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries stored procedures triggers and functions.
Experience with database design normalization and data modeling techniques.
Familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization in both SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of version control systems and database deployment processes.
Experience with scripting languages (T-SQL PL/pgSQL) and automation tools.
