Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate a team responsible for localizing the control system by replacing Chinese electrical components from the existing BOM with approved local alternatives.
Review and analyse the existing Chinese PLC and HMI programs to develop equivalent or improved localized versions.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design manufacturing and quality to ensure seamless integration of new components and software adaptations.
Ensure all localization activities adhere to project timelines quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Validate and verify the newly developed PLC and HMI programs against machine processes and operational requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to control system hardware and software during the localization process.
Document all changes maintain updated BOMs and prepare technical reports and progress updates for stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance mentorship and training to the localization team members.
Manage supplier relationships and participate in vendor evaluations for sourcing alternative electrical components.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies throughout the localization and development process.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Automation Mechatronics or related field.
Proven experience (5 years) in control system engineering specifically with PLC and HMI programming.
Strong understanding of industrial electrical components with experience in BOM management and component replacement.
Familiarity with Chinese electrical standards and control systems is highly desirable.
Expertise in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (e.g. Beckhoff Mitsubishi Omron Delta Etc.) and HMI platforms.
Strong leadership skills with prior experience in leading technical teams.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to interpret machine process requirements and translate them into control logic.
Experience in vendor management and procurement of electrical components.
Proficient in documentation and project management tools.
