Summary
This role provides leave coverage for a Senior Business Planner within a major global retail brands North America digital commerce organization. The Merchandise Planner 3 will manage a portion of the Mens Footwear business and work cross-functionally with planning buying finance and consumer teams. This role involves high visibility supporting one of the largest and most strategically important product segments.
The ideal candidate has strong retail planning expertise excels in data-driven storytelling is comfortable with high-stakes decision-making and thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
What Youll Work On
You will drive in-season business performance partnering closely with Merchandise Planning and Digital Commerce teams to influence weekly and monthly targets. Your work supports the successful execution of a unified One Plan across channels.
Key responsibilities include:

Drive category productivity analysis and seasonal target setting by partnering with Buyers and Consumer teams.

Utilize KPIs data trends and scenario planning to influence Open-to-Buy recommendations and improve business forecasting.

Develop product lifecycle guardrails to optimize margins including pricing markdowns and inventory management recommendations (cancel/closeout/chase).

Lead weekly business offense activities: reporting analysis and in-season action recommendations.

Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align marketplace strategies and improve optimization across channels.

Build and enhance an Omni-channel offense strategy in partnership with digital and store teams.

You will join a team of approximately seven planners within a broader digital planning organization of 30-35 professionals.

Required Experience & Skills

5 years of merchandise planning business planning assortment planning or related experience

Bachelors degree (business-related degree preferred)

Advanced Excel skills; ability to work with large datasets

Experience using web-based planning tools (O9 or similar)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to present to senior stakeholders

Proven capability to tell compelling stories through data

Deep expertise in retail planning and inventory management
