37.5 Hours/Week $17.60/Hour

Position Overview
Exploring the great outdoors and connecting campers with nature are just a few of the many rewarding aspects of working at Gould Lake. Exciting opportunities await educators who are passionate about the outdoors and are interested in leading wilderness-based day camp this summer with students in grades 1-6. Gould Lake Outdoor Centre runs day camp over 5-day sessions where students have the opportunity to participate in many outdoor activities in our unique outdoor classroom.
Experience Knowledge & Qualifications
- Outdoor experience
- Lifeguarding certification an asset
- Experience working with children and youth
- Willingness to learn including seeking and applying feedback
- Demonstrated initiative with ability to problem solve in a professional and respectful manner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills including ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to complete requisite certifications as identified through the application process
