Position: Part-Time / Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Are you passionate about providing exceptional care to children and families Pediatrics of Southwest Houston is looking for a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated team. What Youll Do:
- Diagnose and treat acute episodic and chronic illnesses in pediatric patients
- Prescribe medications and treatments tailored to each patients needs
- Conduct thorough and compassionate physical exams
- Develop and implement patient care plans and management protocols
- Coordinate referrals with specialists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
- Collaborate closely with physicians and specialists to optimize patient outcomes
What Were Looking For:
- Previous experience in nursing or related medical fields ideally in pediatrics
- Strong ability to build genuine rapport with children and families
- Thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting with excellent multitasking skills
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to take initiative
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a pediatric clinical setting preferred
- Solid understanding of pediatric care concepts practices and procedures
- Proficient in advanced nursing skills and capable of assuming charge responsibilities
- EMR (Electronic Medical Records) proficiency is required
- Spanish-speaking ability is highly preferred to better serve our diverse community
