Your role as a Receptionist:

You will be the first point of contact for all guests visiting our hotel. Your role is to provide outstanding customer service manage front desk operations efficiently and ensure a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities


  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a swift and smooth check-in and check-out process.
  • Manage all guest reservations via phone email online platforms or in-person ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Handle guest inquiries requests and complaints professionally escalating to supervisors as needed.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and professional appearance at all times.
  • Answer and direct all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest information room availability and daily front desk logs.
  • Issue room keys and process payments using the hotels Property Management System (PMS).
  • Update guest folios and process billing transactions efficiently.
  • Prepare daily reports such as occupancy reports arrival/departure lists and cash handling summaries.
  • Responsible for daily stock taking for the hotels mini bar.
  • Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with hotel security and safety protocols.
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security of guest information.
  • Communicate important guest preferences VIP arrivals or incidents to relevant departments.
  • Ensure that the front desk is always neat organized and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Follow all hotel policies regarding cash handling confidentiality and code of conduct.


Requirements

  • HND in hospitality management business administration or other relevant fields
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in front desk management or similar roles
  • Knowledge of hospitality operations is an added advantage
  • Available to work flexible hours and on rotational shift including weekends holidays and night shifts.
  • Must be analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in IT and computer applications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suites (Excel Word and PowerPoint).
