Job Summary
Job Role: NOC Network Engineer (L1 Monitoring)
The NOC Network Engineer is responsible for providing first-line 24x7 Network Surveillance and Event Management support for the RIL Core Network and associated customer MPLS Networks. This role ensures high-level operational continuity by strictly following RILs Event Incident and Change Management procedures.
Job Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)
Work 24x7 shifts to provide continuous Network Surveillance and operational support for advanced IP network services.
Perform configuration and technical support for Cisco Routing and Switching equipment.
Act as the primary customer point of contact for support requests handling calls and opening/closing Trouble Tickets and Action Items.
Perform network monitoring and troubleshooting to resolve L1/L2 incidents.
Adhere strictly to Incident Management Change Management and Problem Management procedures.
Communicate operational situations configurations and technical information effectively and professionally both electronically and telephonically.
Create and update documentation to ensure seamless team communication.
Skills & Experience Required
Experience: Minimum 2 Years of relevant experience.
Technical Skills:
oExpertise in Cisco Routers and Switching Equipment.
oExperience with Routing Protocols.
oKnowledge of WAN Circuits and Transport.
oStrong knowledge of Networking and IP Protocols.
Core Competencies:
oExceptional Multitasking Skills and strong attention to detail.
oExcellent Verbal Communication and Presentation Skills.
oStrong Interpersonal and Team Building Skills.
Key Attributes (Qualifications)
Education: BE / Diploma or BSc/MSc IT
