Job Summary
Position Summary
Incumbent will investigate violations of state criminal laws conduct administrative and background investigations gather evidence prepare warrant(s) effect arrest(s) locate and interview witnesses testify in court conduct undercover operations assume undercover roles conduct surveillance operations prepare necessary reports on initial and follow-up investigations. Incumbent may be assigned to a fixed detail patrol duties or administrative duties. During emergency events such as hurricanes high water events etc. incumbent may be required to report for and remain on duty for the duration of the event or until released by the chief of police. May be assigned other duties and shifts as manpower dictates or as needed
