Pay :
HK$57842 to HK$87341 (HGPS Pt 24 to Pt 33) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Primary Function
To encompass the breadth and depth of current and future P&O practice including clinical practice service management research and education. To contribute professional advice to the multi-disciplinary team with updated knowledge and ensuring the delivery of high quality clinical care. To acquire specialized clinical skills to meet the special patients needs and expected to handle difficult cases. To assist seniors in service planning and operation and be able to prioritize tasks in stressful situation to achieve an optimal outcome.
II. Key Result Areas / Job Description
1. Accountability autonomy and responsibility
a) Account for the results of their professional acts and also for the performance of their teams they are leading.
b) Supervise and develop members of the team.
2. Knowledge understanding and skills
a)Acquire knowledge skills and clinical experience for advanced analytical judgment planning organizational and patient care skills.
b)Communicate information that may be involved complex sensitive or contentious problems.
3. Clinical practice
a) Handle complex and difficult cases.
b) Manage patients with complex problems.
c) Promote evidence based practice.
d) Supervise PCA and Prosthetist-Orthotist II to provide seamless patient care.
4. Team/professional leadership
a) Supervise and guide the team members to achieve an optimal outcome.
b) Initiate and lead quality improvement initiatives based on evidence available.
c) Audit and evaluate service practice and implement necessary change.
d) Develop and update service guidelines and protocols.
5. Education training research and development
a) Seek and identify opportunities to apply new knowledge.
b) Contribute to research and development initiatives.
c) Deliver education and training program to juniors/students.
6. Working across professional and organizational boundaries
a) Deliver education and training program to multi-disciplinary team.
b) Contribute to evidence-based practice to multi-disciplinary programs.
Entry Requirements:
5 years postgraduate experience and training & qualification related to P&O.
Preferred Attributes / Exposure:
1. A master degree or equivalent in Health / Rehabilitation Technology or P&O related Studies. (see Remarks 2)
2. Contribution to professional development including research teaching and training.
3. Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Empathy.
6. Commitment to patient care.
7. Leadership.
