Job Summary

Transylvania University is in search of a dynamic and compassionate professional to serve as a part- time mental health counselor (20 hours a week from September until end of May). This role is crucial in supporting the holistic well-being of our students. The ideal candidate will be a licensed mental health professional with a strong background in health promotion prevention programming and inclusive outreach strategies.

Counseling & Student Support Services

Provide short-term individual therapy and psycho-education to students facing emotional academic or interpersonal challenges.
Conduct intake assessments and create treatment plans with appropriate referrals when needed including to off-campus providers.
Maintain accurate confidential clinical documentation by professional standards and legal requirements.

Masters degree required (Counseling Social Work Public Health Health Education or a related field) and Licensure (or license eligibility) as a counselor social worker or mental health professional in Kentucky.
