As a Kaitiaki at our Napier Village youll play an important role in supporting the safest healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle possible for our Care Centre residents. Youll be part of a close-knit team focused on person-centred care and enhancing the wellbeing of every resident.
This role includes a strong focus on mobility support recreation and mealtime care all guided by structured morning and afternoon shift schedules.
This role is fixed term until March 1st 2026 working Thursday and Fridays 12.30pm - 6.00 pm and Saturdays 09.30am - 6.00pm.
Typical duties include:
- Supporting residents with meals and drinks including one-on-one help where needed
- Assisting residents to follow their mobility therapy plans (e.g. walking gentle exercise)
- Providing emotional support to residents who may feel anxious isolated or confused
- Helping maintain a safe environment especially for those at risk of falling
- Supporting individual and small group activities alongside Diversional and Recreational Therapists
- Keeping accurate progress notes and alerting clinical staff to any concerns

- Strong commitment to teamwork and continuous learning
- Experience working in aged care or a related support role is ideal but not essential
