Nestled at the heart of the Alps in Geneva Switzerland our European headquarters hosts the Executive Committee go-to-market functions and Planning and Logistics Schiltigheim near Strasbourg our shared services center thrives with over 100 professionals managing Finance and Operations/Customer Service. Our distribution center in Cambrai ensures swift delivery to customers while our 35 Columbia stores adorn major European outlet centers. Finally the Sales and Trade Marketing teams are displayed in 3 regions across Europe close to their customers and markets.

ABOUT THE MISSION

We are creating this new role to accelerate Columbia and Sorels growth across Denmark and the North Atlantic region (Faroe Islands Greenland & Iceland) with a strong focus on premium outdoor lifestyle and department store distribution.

The potential in these channels is significant and your mission will be to unlock these key doors elevate our brands in the market and build long-term commercial partnerships that deliver sustainable growth.

You will join a small highly collaborative local team based near Copenhagen working hand-in-hand with our Country Manager and the Nordic Sales team. You will also collaborate closely with trade marketing credit account operations and other European functions to deliver a seamless customer experience.

This is the perfect role for someone who thrives on business development relationship-building and structured key account management and who is excited to shape the future of Columbia and Sorels presence in Denmark.

HOW YOULL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of premium outdoor lifestyle and department store accounts across Denmark Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
  • Open new strategic doors in lifestyle and authenticator channels where our brands have significant untapped potential
  • Build tailored trust-based relationships with each account offering proactive support and insights that help them grow their business with Columbia and Sorel.
  • Use data market trends and segmentation principles to guide your seasonal strategies and business decisions.
  • Prepare and lead structured customer meetings and sell-in presentations turning insights into actionable plans and joint business strategies.
  • Collaborate daily with cross-functional partners (trade marketing credit ops) to ensure smooth execution and top-tier service.
  • Represent our brands with passion during customer visits showroom appointments trade shows and in-market activities.
  • Act as a business developer who sees opportunities where others dont and who has the resilience to convert them.

YOU ARE

  • Commercially driven with a true sales & key account management mindset.
  • A natural relationship-builder who wins people over through trust credibility and consistent follow-up.
  • Experienced in working with structured sales processes: joint business planning seasonal preparation segmentation forecasting and data-driven decision-making
  • Comfortable navigating a matrix corporate environment and working with multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Passionate about outdoor lifestyle footwear or sporting goods industries and motivated by the idea of growing two strong brands in an evolving market.
  • Structured prepared and able to switch between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • Resilient adaptable and excited by the challenge of building a business where potential is high but brand presence still needs to be unlocked.

YOU HAVE

  • 5 years in account management ideally with experience handling key accounts in outdoor lifestyle sporting goods footwear or premium retail.
  • Experience opening or managing premium lifestyle department store or authenticator accounts is a strong plus
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn KPIs and market data into commercial action plans.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills you know how to pitch convince and engage.
  • Operational rigor and a hands-on mentality.
  • A valid driving license and ability to travel within Denmark and occasionally to Iceland / Faroe Islands.
  • Native Danish fluency in English
