We are seeking a skilled and reliable Optometric Technician to join this growing team on a per diem or hourly basis. This is a part-time temporary position to cover for a staff member currently on leave with no confirmed return date. The role is expected to last several months with the possibility of becoming permanent depending on staffing needs.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients in a professional friendly manner
- Obtain and document patient histories and preliminary testing
- Perform visual acuity testing tonometry and other pre-exam procedures
- Operate and maintain optometric equipment
- Assist optometrists during examinations and with procedures as needed
- Manage patient flow and assist with administrative duties as required
- Maintain sterile and organized workspaces
- Support other team members as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations
About the Position:
- Position Type: Part-Time Temporary (Potential for Permanent)
- Schedule: Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage between $22 and $28 based on experience
- Opportunity for the position to become permanent depending on staffing needs
