Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Manager- Ice Cream to join an FMCG organization in Kuwait. This role focuses on delivering key performance targets related to safety quality productivity volumes cost sustainability and organizational morale. The Production Manager will ensure that the companys manufacturing strategy is implemented effectively and strives to build a high-performance organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:
- Provide strong leadership for the production team ensuring the implementation of the companys manufacturing strategy.
- Drive the development of a high-performance organization through effective management and support of manufacturing standards and compliance requirements.
Operational Oversight:
- Monitor operational output measures such as safety OEE yield loss product quality on-time delivery and inventory accuracy.
- Identify and correct trends that could compromise operational efficiency.
Continuous Improvement:
- Implement operational improvements necessary to meet the annual operating plan.
- Identify cost performance gaps and optimize manpower and equipment to meet production goals on schedule and within budget.
- Foster the development and execution of programs for upskilling and reskilling the workforce promoting lean methodologies across the manufacturing value chain.
Staff Management:
- Build and maintain proper staffing levels through effective performance evaluations and commendations.
- Create a future-ready workforce adept at digital technologies to increase productivity.
Maintenance and Compliance:
- Maintain plant and equipment to ensure they are audit-ready adhering to health safety and environmental regulations.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
Project Management:
- Identify improvement opportunities and develop project proposals for capital projects managing project briefs and justifications.
- Execute directives from top management as required.
Product Quality Management:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality frozen dessert and bakery products drawing on extensive knowledge of ice cream and frozen dessert production.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Dairy Science and Technology Food Technology or a related field. Masters degree and/or MBA preferred.
Lean Six Sigma/Lean Practitioner certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role in dairy production industry.
Experience with ice cream production is a must.
Proficiency in MS Office ERP and MES systems.
Strong leadership decision-making and analytical skills.
Excellent communication abilities in English; additional languages are a plus.
