Job Summary

Job Title: Private Client Paralegal
Location: Ipswich

Job Description:

Our client a well-established law firm in Ipswich is seeking a Private Client Paralegal to join their busy and supportive team.
You will assist in delivering legal services across private client matters including wills probate estate administration lasting powers of attorney trust work and succession planning.

The role involves preparing and reviewing documentation liaising with clients maintaining case files and providing clear professional advice under the supervision of solicitors.
You will also correspond with executors beneficiaries and third parties such as banks and HMRC ensuring that all matters are handled efficiently and accurately.

This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with experience in private client work to develop their career within a growing client-focused firm. Key Responsibilities: Assist solicitors with wills probate applications estate administration and trust work.
Draft and review legal documents such as Wills Powers of Attorney and trust deeds.
Manage client communications keeping them informed and supported throughout the process.
Prepare reports and correspondence for clients beneficiaries and third parties.
Liaise with banks HMRC and other organisations regarding estate matters.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
Undertake legal research and administrative tasks as required to support the team.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a paralegal in private client work estate administration or probate.
Strong knowledge of wills trusts powers of attorney and probate processes.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.

Required Skills:

About You At least 12 months experience working in a residential conveyancing department (essential). Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A proactive and professional approach with a genuine interest in property law. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Experience using conveyancing case management software (desirable).
