The T/R Module Products section in the Airborne Antenna Design department is responsible for the design test manufacture and support of T/R Modules transmit-receive integrated modules (TRIMMs) and panel assemblies and is currently searching for a 2026 Summer Intern.

A successful candidate is one who can participate in a multi-disciplined team and properly apply engineering tools and processes.

A candidate with interests studies research or experiences which are technically broad will be a possible fit in our group. All candidates will work within a larger team at Raytheon. Interns perform meaningful engineering tasks for their assigned projects but will also have access to a variety of career development opportunities. These include access to technical mentors and the ability to shadow experienced professionals in order to better learn about real industry positions.

What You Will Do

  • Gathering and analyzing RF test data
  • Documenting test requirements and procedures
  • COTS Digital and RF component research
  • Schematic PWB and CCA document creation
  • Possible environmental test support (thermal and vibration)
  • RF system cascade analysis

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must be pursuinga Bachelors (or higher) degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major
  • This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelors (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum entering their Junior by the start of summer 2026

Qualifications We Prefer

  • ABET is the preferred although not required accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
  • Experience in passive circuit design and EM modeling.
  • Experience in radio frequency measurement techniques using power sensors spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
  • Solid understanding of radio frequency principles including phased array theory.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform structured design processes root-cause problem solving and successful on-time / on-schedule task

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
