Location: Denver CO

Status: Full-time

Schedule: Monday-Friday 40 hours

REWARDING WORK YOU WILL DO:

Participates as a member of the Leadership Team to promote and ensure hospice and palliative care remains strongly rooted within the organizations community. Provides leadership in three key areas defined as executive marketing and clinical. Represents the Board of Directors is a member of the senior executive team and is the medical director of the organization. Promotes the organizations marketing and community education efforts with professional health care.

  • Provides assistance in planning developing and implementing hospice and palliative care programs. Enhances hospice and palliative care services to physician community the public healthcare facilities and other applicable organizations in the community.
  • Collaborates with Director of Clinical Services to establish clinical protocols and processes that meet all regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Oversees provider recruitment hiring performance evaluation and scheduling. Demonstrates leadership identifying the educational needs of the physician staff.
  • Provides review and oversight of patient care by the medical staff to assure documentation is accurate and complete for billing purposes.
  • Responsible for the medical component of the hospices patient care program. Meets the medical needs of the patient when the attending physician is not available.
  • Collaborates with the Business Development department to secure support for hospice and palliative care services.
  • Leads monthly and as-needed medical staff team meetings for the operational and administrative function of hospice and palliative care services.

WHAT WE ARE GOING TO LOVE ABOUT YOU:

  • Minimum Education: Medical degree with board certification in family medicine internal medicine emergency care or occupational health.
  • Minimum Experience: 5 years experience as a practicing physician in hospice internal medicine family practice pediatrics oncology or related field of medicine or recent graduate from Hospice & Palliative Care residency program.
  • Required License: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy in the state of Colorado. Valid Colorado drivers license and proof of insurance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift/push/pull minimum of 30 lbs
