Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree required. Must be a graduate student currently enrolled in an Ohio University academic program. Must have strong research writing and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in public health education social work counseling or a related field Experience in health promotion public health or a related field Minimum 3.0 GPA maintained throughout the assistantship Experience supervising staff or advising students Strong communication leadership and team management skills Demonstrated sound judgment and conflict management experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) Experience as a peer health educator; peer health educator certification preferred Demonstrated experience in program planning and/or event management Experience presenting to and engaging with various audiences Strong project management skills Ability to design conduct and interpret assessments or program evaluations

Work Schedule
Graduate Assistants are expected to work a total of 300 hours over the course of the semester. This averages out to approximately 20 hours per week. Evening and weekend work may be required Must be available to participate in staff orientation and training prior to start of Fall Semester Must be available to assist in Opening Weekend activities
