Job Summary
We are hiring a skilled and experienced API Developer to design build and maintain robust and scalable APIs that connect systems applications and third-party services. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of modern development tools RESTful architecture and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs to support web and mobile applications
Integrate external and internal systems using API gateways and microservices architecture
Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to define and implement API specifications and data models
Optimize API performance scalability and reliability
Ensure secure transmission and storage of data using OAuth2 JWT and API security protocols
Write clean well-documented and maintainable code
Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices across the team
Monitor and troubleshoot API performance issues
Stay updated with the latest industry trends in API development and integration
Create and maintain API documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
Proven experience as an API Developer or Backend Developer
Strong knowledge of programming languages like Python Java or PHP
Hands-on experience with API design tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS Azure or Google Cloud
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
Excellent understanding of data formats such as JSON and XML
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
