The Work Unit:
The Operations Program exists to provide a wide spectrum of services and support to the management and staff of the Water Quality Control Division (WQCD). The Operations Program consists of the Fiscal Services Section the Business Services Unit the Communications and Special Projects Unit and the Performance Planning and Customer Success Unit.

What Youll Be Doing:

This position works independently to coordinate decisions to effectively process division-wide personnel liaison duties and provide assistance for divisional hiring onboarding/off boarding position updates and changes timekeeping and collaboratively works with division management and teams. This position will identify and assist in the development of new processes to facilitate quality and process improvement in personnel and timekeeping duties while maintaining large datasets and providing excellent customer service.

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in business finance accounting public administration or a field of study closely related to the work assignment.
AND
One year of professional experience in administrative (or general clerical) experienceor other closely related experience aligned to the work assigned to the position.

OPTION 3:
Masters degree from an accredited institution inbusiness finance accounting public administration or a field of study closely related to the work assignment.

PREFERRED AND ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:
The preferred experience competencies and abilities are highly desirable for this position and will be considered in selecting the successful candidate.


  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suites.
  • Experience handling and processing sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience managing large datasets and maintaining those datasets for accuracy
  • Experience in personnel state work
  • Experience in customer service
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multitask prioritize work activities set goals and objectives use time efficiently integrate changes smoothly.
  • Seeks to maintain or enhance the satisfaction of external and internal customer/client/stakeholder. Includes actively looking for ways to assist people.
  • Tactfully interacts with people and adapts interaction communication and conflict resolution styles effectively.
