Job Summary
Qualifications:
- We are looking for LPNs with a passion for working with seniors in our assisted living and memory care community.
- Provides quality care to the residents and supervises the nursing activities performed by Care Associates and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Admits transfers and discharges residents as needed with the guidance of the Director of Wellness.
- Prepares and administers medications as ordered by the Physician.
- Must have staff supervisory and medication oversight experience preferably in an assisted living memory care nursing home or similar environment
- May administer professional services such as; applying and changing dressings/bandages packs and care for the dead/dying as required.
- Experience assisting those with Alzheimers disease and dementia is a plus.
- Assist as necessary in our community.
- Must be caring reliable and observant with an understanding of MARs and doctors orders
- Its essential to excel in prioritizing multitasking and working independently.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Wellness Director.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- College degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Six months to one year experience in a long-term care setting.
- Memory Care experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- LPN Licensure by the State of Louisiana
- CPR Certification
Pay from $27.50 per hour.
