Senior Procurement Associate

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Procurement Associate on a permanent basis on our Home and Building Solutions (HABS) team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon SK.

What youll do:

• Maintain HABS inventory including regular promotional seasonal and special buys required to maintain the budgeted inventory and service levels.
• Revise and administer buying shipping and receiving procedures to increase the efficiencies of inventory management.
• Collaborate with Category Managers.
• Provide procurement department with various reports to be used for analytical purposes.
• Update and maintain Manugistics buying system including forecasting lead times profiles buying and CPFS.
• Coordinate all aspects pertaining to import and manual buys.
• Follow up on outstanding orders and communicate with internal and external stakeholders as needed to resolve issues (ex. warehouse suppliers retails).
• Handle wire transfers and letter of credit authorizations.
• Clear mismatches in Buyers Workbench to claim for pricing discrepancies and ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Provide back up to HABS Associates as required including assisting with trade shows.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Team: You will work closely with other Senior Procurement Associates and report into the Purchasing Supervisor. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration and customer service.

The Collaborators: You will work closely with other functions in our consumer products business unit and collaborate across the organization with teams such as category management and supply chain.

The Customers: You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting our local Co-op home centres.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:

• Level 8: Have auniversity degree in Commerce or Business and one year of experience in the retail wholesale industry or have a two-year diploma in retailing or business administration from a recognized post-secondary institute and two years of experience in the retail wholesale hardware industry.
• Level 9: Successful completion of the 8 course modules and workshops for Leadership and Professionalism. Completion of International Business and Multi-Cultural Skills modules of the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) program. Minimum of one year of HABS Senior Procurement Associate experience.
• Are familiar with Microsoft excel.
