Senior Business Analyst

The opportunity

Senior Business Analyst who can play multiple roles such as product owner product manager business analyst business consultant and scrum master depending upon the project demand. Must possess a blend of technical and functional knowledge domain specific requirements understanding and technology application in a given domain. Good exposure to emerging technology trends and the application of the same to business is mandatory.

Your key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a deep contextual understanding of the business problem identify the need for change and propose solutions to improve the business
• Responsible for product strategy defining road map and delivering customer value
• Build the foundation for the development effort by capturing the business context- problem current state desired future state objectives business needs and impacted user groups
• Understand project technology and define how the requirements gathering will be conducted (i.e. elicitation analysis specification and validation)
• Facilitate requirement meetings; demonstrate extensive experience in facilitating sessions (20 people). Use techniques to define scope and requirements during the lifecycle of the project
• Develop requirements (business user and technical requirements functional and non-functional) and establish traceability to the business vision
• Manage requirements to the appropriate audience throughout the project lifecycle to ensure all stakeholders have the same understanding and agreement as to the requirements.
• Play a critical communications role by interacting with business IT and testing personnel
• Seeking out information to learn about disrupting and emerging technologies (Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning IoT Augmented Reality Blockchain).
• Keep abreast of developments in this field and researching on the applicability of these technologies to business
• Support businesses in the adoption of disrupting and emerging technologies at enterprise level
• Identify new business opportunities pitch service offerings to potential clients maintain a good relationship with stakeholders and build a healthy pipeline of opportunities for the team
• Guide the junior members(Business Analysts) within the Service Delivery validating their approach to work relationships with other project stakeholders and check their progress on specific projects

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

• Minimum 8 10 years of IT industry experience with at least 4 years of experience in the business analyst area.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and adapt communications to various audiences includes verbal written and presentation skills
• Personal accountability to adhere and comply of all required business analyst deliverables and requirements
• Ability to collaborate across functional teams cultures and geographies and to build trust virtually
• Working knowledge and experience as a business analyst in versatile projects - including web development data analytics artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Track record of customer focus that is based on openness trust and delivering on promises
• Solid understanding of the following requirements models: Stakeholder Categories Actor Tables Glossary Context Diagram Data Model Class Model Data Dictionary Event Response Tables State Diagrams Business Rules Decision Tables Process Maps Use Cases and Activity Diagrams
• IT background with experience across the systems development life cycle with experience in different project phases
• Work experience in Agile Scrum projects as a Product Owner / Scrum Master
• Knoweldge in the use of IT methodologies processes and standards for business analysis
• Must possess good knowledge in domains like Finance
• Articulative skills to promote the adoption of disruptive and emerging technologies like Data Analytics AI/Gen AI and Machine Learning
• Strong influential and negotiation skill

Ideally youll also have

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or related certification is must.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Produce Owner (CSPO) will be advantageous.
• Preferred industry recognized certifications in emerging technologies like AI / ML Blockchain etc.
