Job Summary

Cardinal FG a float glass manufacturer for residential windows in Portage is seekinga skilled Maintenance Technician interested in working with a company on the cutting edge of technology who takes great pride in providing an extremely safe and clean environment.

A Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in supporting our 24/7 float glass manufacturing operation. This position ensures the reliability and efficiency of complex high-temperature production equipment essential to the continuous float glass process. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy industrial environments and possess strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and control systems.

This positions primary schedule is a 12-hour ROTATING shift working 3 or 4 shifts/week. This schedule provides every other weekend off only working half the days of the year.

We are looking for someone with:

Combination of two years education/experience in one of these areas:
- Industrial Electricity
- Welding/Fabrication
- Machine shop experience
- Mechanical experience - related to Industrial environment.
Industrial Electrical Experience preferred

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent with at least two years maintenance experience
Ability to read write and communicate in English
Desire to work in a team environment
Pass a pre-employment physical ability test background and drug screen
