The University of Iowa Health Care department of Radiology is seeking a Senior Imaging Technologist to perform and teach specialized general diagnostic radiography procedures utilizing complex imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during to perform general radiography procedures in multiple areas within the hospital including Adult and Pediatric Radiology emergency room OR fluoroscopy and orthopedic clinic.

Percent of Time: 60%
Schedule: Weekend Option / Saturday and Saturday 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM. No holidays or on-call responsibilities.
Experience Requirements
A Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology or other Allied Health Sciences discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
At least 1 year of experience in general radiology.
Certification Requirements
Current certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
Current Permit to Practice issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health for all radiographers operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment is required.
Desirable Qualifications
Previous work or clinical education experience in general radiology in a level 1 Trauma center is desired.
Recent work or clinical education experience in general radiography is desired.
