OES Equipment part of the DPR Family of Companies is a fast-paced supply and rental equipment company in the construction industry. We are seeking an experienced Knowledge Manager to establish and sustain a unified knowledge management program. Under the direction of the OES T&I Team Lead this role will oversee the development of a central process library standardize documentation across OESs operations and ensure employees can easily access the information they need to perform their work safely efficiently and consistently.

The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of operations process and technologysomeone who can translate how work gets done into structured searchable knowledge that connects people and systems. This role will collaborate closely with DPRs Knowledge Management team to ensure OES knowledge systems and practices align with enterprise strategy where appropriate while remaining tailored to OESs unique business needs. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with OES cross-functional teams to design and lead the implementation of OESs process library as the single source of truth for operational processes and best practices.

  • Document standard business processes for all departments and roles in partnership with subject matter experts from the business.

  • Maintain OES knowledge base and process libraries as well as the OES-specific content on the DPR intranet that DPR employees rely on to work effectively with OES.

  • Develop metadata structures templates and governance models that make process information easy to maintain and find.

  • Ensure metadata and structuring decisions support future integration opportunities with OES operational systems and DPR enterprise KM where appropriate.

  • Integrate the process library with existing OES business systems (e.g. ERP inventory safety HR) to create seamless access to relevant information.

  • Establish governance workflows for process creation review and approval.

  • Maintain content quality by developing standards for documentation formatting and version control.

  • Build contributor guidelines and train OES employees on how to submit or update content.

  • Promote consistent use of OESs process library and knowledge resources through training onboarding and communication.

  • Measure system usage and incorporate employee feedback to identify improvements and drive continuous adoption of OESs knowledge resources.

  • Develop clear contributor guidelines and maintain training materials to onboard new content contributors and maintain long-term content quality.

  • Partner with DPRs KM team to ensure shared knowledge (e.g. safety practices benefits ordering processes) is accessible across both organizations where appropriate and to align on taxonomy and governance standards.

  • Collaborate with OES business units and DPR counterparts to identify opportunities for knowledge integration and shared taxonomy.

  • Serve as the primary liaison to DPRs Knowledge Management team for system alignment governance practices and cross-company integration opportunities.

  • Represent OES in cross-company KM initiatives that support the broader enterprise knowledge ecosystem.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Systems Construction Management or related field.

  • 3 years of experience in knowledge management operations systems process documentation or related disciplines including collaborating with diverse stakeholders leadership end users and external vendors.

  • Demonstrated experience building or managing a knowledge base process library or similar repository.

  • Experience designing or implementing process documentation standards including templates workflows and review cycles.

  • Experience administering or maintaining content in enterprise platforms (e.g. SharePoint ServiceNow Confluence or similar).

  • Knowledge of commercial construction rental equipment and supply chain processes and workflows and financials is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a computer screen.

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

  • Occasional domestic travel may be for meetings (estimated at a maximum quarterly butmay flex based on project or program needs).

  • While this is a hybrid role with most time being spent working from home attendance at important meetings and events at the local OES Equipment/DPR office is required.
