Job Summary

KRA1	Cost Control & reduction: Plan monitor & control the cost (spares inventory repairs & manpower) as per budget of electrical maintenance	a) Reduce inventory by keeping control over indents. b) Prepare Kaizens & focus on improvement study for reducing costs. c) Control deployment of contract manpower and monitor performance of all maintenance job contracts. d) Prepare budgets for spares inventory and repairs. e) Monitor expenditure against budget. f) Take corrective action.
KRA2	Electrical Services (Mines Colony Workshop and power distribution	a) Ensuring power supply to all colony residents b) Take feedback from colony residents and take corrective actions. c) Monitor statutory compliance of electrical Inspectorate and work as per IE rules. d) Organize & monitor implementation of maintenance jobs. e) Monitor motors power tools welding set repair jobs. f) Analysis of motor failures and corrective measures. g) Ensure and monitor spare motors ready for the plant. h) Preparation of power planning and adequate distribution of the same. i) Ensure mine illumination and de-watering
KRA3	Liaisoning with Govt. agencies: Ensure timely compliance of statutory requirements in line with government regulations for new electrical work.	a) Coordinate for drawing preparation. b) Submission of drawing to Govt. authorities. c) Liaisoning for drawing approval from government authorities d) Coordinating and organizing inspection of electrical installation. e) Ensure accident free implementation.
KRA4	Statutory compliance and Electrical Safety: Organize & monitor implementation of electrical related safety procedures Coal Yard to maintain accident free working and compliance of statutory requirement	) Monitor statutory compliance of electrical Inspectorate and work as per Indian Electricity Rules. b) Enforce all safety precautions through documented procedures work instructions Cautioning Boards Symbols warning signals etc. c) Ensure strict compliance of LC procedures before taking shutdown of any equipment. d) Enforce standard maintenance practices to make them safe. e) Knowledge sharing with sub-ordinates. f) Analyze accidents and take corrective actions
KRA5	Continuous Improvement: Identify coordinate & monitor implementation of improvements projects in order to improve the availability and reduce cost of electrical maintenance.	a) Collection of data on failures and bottlenecks & identification of improvements projects. b) Analysis of failures. c) Identify improvement actions. d) Formulate proposal i.e. equipment specification drawings etc. & seek approval. e) Guide & review for implementation.
KRA5	Performance Improvement: Identify coordinate & monitor implementation of improvements projects in order to improve the availability and reduce cost of electrical maintenance	a) Collection of data on failures and bottlenecks & identification of improvements projects. b) Analysis of failures. c) Identify improvement actions. d) Formulate proposal i.e. equipment specification drawings etc. & seek approval. e) Guide & review for implementation. f) Ensure the optimal utilization of all input resources to reduce the cost of production and enhance profitability. g) Improvement in power factor system. h) Reduction in power consumption
