Job Summary
Newport Pagnell Medical Centrehas a fantastic opportunity for a permanent healthcare assistant to join the practice to support the nursing team. The hours for this role can be flexible so it is offered on a full or part-time basis so please apply to discuss.
- Venepuncture and phlebotomy checks.
- New patient health checks.
- Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms.
- Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations.
- Providing valuable health promotion and education for service users their families and carers.
About the Candidate
Essential - these are a requirement to be considered for the role:
- Confidence and competence in a health care environment.
- Excellent patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
- Consistently confidential manner as well as a compassionate and respectfulapproachplacing a high value on the dignity of patients relatives carers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and determine own workload priorities as well as working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a GP practice/primary care
- Successful completion of the Care Certificate.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Strong clinical skills.
