ABOUT THE POSITION

Columbias Merchandising Team is hiring a Sr. Merchandiser - Footwear for our Canada Headquarters located in London Ontario.

Reporting to the Director Footwear Merchandising the Sr. Merchandiser - Footwear is a senior member of the Canadian Merchandise team responsible for shaping and executing the footwear category strategy to grow the business across Canada while aligning with global brand priorities. This role also has a dotted line reporting relationship to the VP General Manager Canada.

HOWYOULLMAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Category strategy: Develop and deliver the seasonal and multiyear footwear strategy for the region informed by market trends consumer insight and competitive analysis.
• Seasonal planning: Own seasonal briefs line adoption pricing assortment direction and style forecasts to meet financial and stylecount targets.
• Crossfunctional partnership: Work closely with Merchandising leadership Sales Planning and Global Merchandising to incorporate regional needs into the global line plan and ensure execution against targets.
• Account engagement: Preline key accounts with compelling stories and initiatives; educate the sales force on product innovation technologies assortments and marketing support.
• Business planning: Lead workstreams with Sales and Planning to define seasonal and longterm growth plans assessing financial risk and reward.

YOU ARE

• Capable of managing the seasonal product adoption & assortments for the Canadian market (from concept to sales meeting) to ensure seasonal financial targets and style count targets are met.
• Able to provide clear product direction and market intelligence that drive assortment decisions and commercial outcomes.
• Knowledgeable in the product creation process and the roles of other functions including Sales Demand Planning Global Merchandising Costing Sourcing Design Development Marketing and Finance.

YOU HAVE

• Bachelors degree applicable certification or equivalent experience.

• 5-8 years of product or merchandising experience in the sportswear outdoor or action sports industry.

• Strong market and trend knowledge in footwear; proven merchandising and assortment planning experience.
• Crossfunctional collaboration and account presentation skills.
• Commercial acumen with ability to translate insight into seasonal and longterm plans.

Salary Range: $85000 - $105000 annually

*Pay decisions aredeterminedby multiple factors including what the market is paying a candidates capabilities and skills years of experience and internal equity.
