Job Summary

Reporting to: Finance Controller (based in Japan)

Summary

  • Manage overall finance and accounting functions to meet requirements of reporting schedule accuracy and compliance with corporate policy and local statutory regulations.
  • Provide financial information to management for effective control over plant-wide operations.
  • Evaluate financial analysis to support management decisions.
  • Lead develop and motivate finance team for effectively meeting plant goals.

Job Description

  • Provide financial advice/input to all key management decisions.
  • Direct the development and implementation of Financial and Accounting information system. Policy and procedures for the efficient and effective internal control procedures for the company.
  • Develop review and implement efficient and effective internal control procedures for the company.
  • Direct financial accounting and reporting functions ensuring their timeliness and accuracy.
  • Direct the management planning and control functions including budgetary control and capital expenditure appraisal.
  • Direct management accounting product costing and pricing activities.
  • Lead the preparation of month-end Controllers report.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly forecast and annual budget plan process.
  • Plan and control the companys funds and cash flows.
  • Participate in the development of an effective and efficient management information system and the computerization of the companys system.
  • Ensure all business activities are carried out in compliance with corporate policy GAAP and local statutory regulations.
  • Control statutory document e.g. shareholders meeting board of director meeting.
  • Performs other related duties of similar type and work on assigned.
  • Department Heads are responsible for the overall safety of all their subordinates.
  • To ensure that the safety rules and regulations and other standard operating procedures are carried out by their personnel.
  • Participate in international projects when necessary.
  • Responsible for Safety in the workplace and safety of direct report staff (if any).
  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating direct reports (if any) for compliance to workplace safety and environmental policy.
  • Emphasize company environment health and safety rules and regulations to employees and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure that all accidents & near miss are reported to management and/or direct supervisor and injured are given proper treatment.
  • For Supervisory level employees investigate all accident & near miss and make necessary reports and recommendations.
  • For Supervisory level employees take disciplinary action on any safety violation in consultation with Safety Officer and or Human Resource Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance & Accounting
  • At least 8-10 years working experience in Management Accounting Cost accounting Finance accounting Economic Statistics Information system Internal controls Tax and legal requirement
  • Must hold CPD registration in Thailand. CPA preferrable
  • Experience within Manufacturing environment and managing senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in the matrix organization with international exposure
  • Native Thai and excellent command of business English (verbal and written)
  • Computer literacy. SAP knowledge is very advantageous
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent leadership capability. A team player analytical and technically skillful
  • Active and positive contributor to overall Plant leadership management effectiveness and employee engagement
  • Able to challenge status quo and take initiatives to change
