Job Summary

Overview

The Manager Billing and Collections oversees all day-to-day management of the billing functions and staff. This role supervises charge capture and posting claims processing payment posting and processing refunds and customer service.

Responsibilities


Contacts insurance companies regarding any unexpected/unacceptable changes to payments or claims filing.
Establishes quality standards and continually encourages insurance staff to meet or exceed these standards.
Monitors charge review and claim edit work queues to assure that both are being maintained accurately and timely.
Runs/reviews the daily reports and keeps auditable records.
Approves credits less than $100 and sends all credits over $100 to Practice Administrator for approval.
Supervises and trains all patient billing staff on all aspects of insurance and patient billing.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


EDUCATION:
Required: Associates Degree

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 5 Years
