  • Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Field Safety Specialist HSE through December18th 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

  • The position provides field HSE support to the New Mexico Region of the Shale & Tight Business which is a dynamic and fast paced upstream business unit. This job will be geographically focused on assets in New Mexico. The New Mexico HSE Team supports Chevron in maintaining safety management systems working without serious injuries and fatalities. The position reports to the New Mexico Field HSE Team Manager and is a Field Safety Specialist role which supports a wide range health safety and environmental needs as well as requires extensive travel to New Mexico assets.
  • Responsibilities include:
    • Supporting safe operations related to high-risk work activities such as excavation work at height isolation of hazardous energy confined space entry hot work material transfer and lifting/rigging.
    • Reading and interpreting safe work procedures and regulations;
    • Engaging work crews and field leaders with coaching and hazard mitigation verifications;
    • Working collaboratively with crews and field leaders to identify solutions to perform work safely;
    • Developing and delivering hands on trainings;
    • Ensuring that safeguards are in place and effective at work locations through inspections and site assessments; and
    • Responding to request for field/asset support and advising on HSE concerns.
  • Other considerations for the role:
    • Travel to field assets as a normal part of work and thus successful candidate must be able to drive a light duty truck to be able to perform duties of the job.
