Job Summary

School Year position - Part Time

Monday-Thursday

$15.00 per hour

Summary of duties: To assist in maintaining a safe caring learning environment for preschool students and help with their learning and communications within the preschool environment. To assist parents of preschools to enhance their understanding of learning and communication with their children. To be a continual learner in the understanding of preschool education.

Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or child development equivalent

Child Development Associate (CDA)

Early childhood education philosophy compatible with program philosophy

Preschool experience preferred

Responsibilities:

Assist with the learning activities for preschool students
Help to develop the GSRP program
Help with the Advisory Committee
Work with materials supplies equipment in the program
Help with the development of the curriculum
Assist with parents of students
Assess students and keep detailed records of student learning and growth
Work with support agencies (social services MISD therapists health department etc.)
Collaborate with other preschools in the district and building as directed by program teacher
Participate in professional development as required
Work with the GSRP teacher to make the program the best it can be
Regular reliable and puntual attendance is an essential function of the position
Other duties as assigned
