The Division of Dermatology Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington is recruiting a full time Assistant Associate or Full Professor without tenure (WOT) by reason of funding (commensurate with experience and qualifications) on the clinician-scholar track.
Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
Associate and Full Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
Responsibilities will include providing in-patient and outpatient consulting practice as well as clinical translational and basic science research opportunities.
This position provides an opportunity to work at the Clinical & Translational Research Center (CTR) at Seattle Childrens Research Institute.
All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching research and service. Anticipated start date is Summer 2026
The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professors $23640-$35460 per month ($283680-$425520 annually) Associate Professors $26447- $39670 ($317364- $476040) Full Professors $27859- $41792 ($334308 $501504) commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Childrens University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by Childrens University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Childrens University Medical Group practice plan. Additional administrative responsibilities may be offered to a specific candidate with appropriate experience and qualifications which may result in an administrative supplement (ADS).
Must have MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent). Must be Board certified or eligible (or foreign equivalent) in Pediatric Dermatology and must be eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington.
In order to be eligible for university sponsorship for an H-1B visa graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
