About the Role:

The Residential Coordinator provides essential 24-hour awake coverage andsupervision of9-bed single Residential Coordinatoractsas the first point of contact for client needs and positionis responsible forcrisis intervention facilities management ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the frontdeskandmaintaininga positive living environment within the residential coordinator will ensure the safety of shelter residents and the property of Shelter House.

How you will contribute:

  • Ensure the safe functioning of the shelter andmaintaina safe environment for visitor check-in and front desk calls and inquiries
  • Perform rounds andmonitorthe outside and inside of the building grounds
  • Update the daily log by documenting all interactions with clients and any othersignificant eventsin the shelter
  • Work closely with case managers to support and reinforce the clients service plan andmaintainongoing communicationregardingclient progress
  • Complete efficient shift exchange with incoming/ outgoing staff and report on the days activitiesin order tomaintainconsistency throughout the day
  • Ensure all documentationpertaining tothe Shelter House log is completed and in compliance with agency best practice
  • Evaluate and provide for basic needs of shelter clients while on household itemstoiletriesand other items to clients as needed.
  • Perform residential cleaning including light touch-ups and washing shelter linens
  • Organize and restock household supplies toiletries linens towels and donations
  • Perform unit inspections
  • Maintain the dignity and confidentiality of all clients during service delivery
  • Maintain current knowledge and ability to administer emergency procedures to include building evacuation health emergencies and safety management
  • Accept donations and support volunteer programs and events in the shelter
  • Participate in staff meetings and staff training as directed
  • Ensure compliance with all agency policies and best practices
  • ProficientlyutilizeGoogle Suites applications (email calendar drive docsetc) as a part of day-to-day work requirements
  • Serve as emergency personnel and must report to work as scheduled regardless of circumstances (inclement weather highway congestionetc)
  • ProficientlyutilizeMicrosoft products asa partof day-to-day work requirements.

About You:

Required:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience inhuman servicesfieldi.e. mental health substance abusehomelessand domestic violence
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and team members
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed

Preferred:

  • A bachelors in human services/ related field
  • 1 year of experience in customer service
  • Experience working in programs serving homeless families
  • Experience working in a residential environment
  • Current CPR/ First aid certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Annual TB Test isrequired
  • Ability to sit or stand forlong periods
  • Ability to lift itemsweighing10-20 pounds
