As a UI/UX Developer youll deliver intuitive and innovative designs that drive user satisfaction and efficiency across federal government this role you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and improve digital experiences focusing on accessibility usability and functionality with the goal to make an impact across the federal you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a commitment to making a difference through design we want to hear from you. Occasional travel to the DC area will be required.

What youll do:

• User Research: Conduct user research interviews and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions.
• Design & Prototyping: Create wireframes prototypes and high-fidelity designs to illustrate user interfaces and workflows for web and mobile applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers developers and stakeholders to ensure design solutions align with technical and functional requirements.
• Accessibility Compliance: Ensure designs meet Section 508 compliance and WCAG standards for accessibility.
• Iteration: Incorporate user feedback and analytics data to refine and improve designs.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain design documentation style guides and component libraries to support consistent branding and development.

What youll need to succeed:

• An active Secret clearance OR the ability to obtain
• Bachelors degree in Graphic Design Human-Computer Interaction or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years of experience in UI/UX design including designing for federal government systems or similar domains.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma Sketch Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile and iterative development processes.
• Experience ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (e.g. Section 508 WCAG 2.1).

SALARY RANGE: $78000 - $138000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications skills and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

• The candidates professional background and relevant work experience
• The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
• Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
• This role is also eligible for additional compensation subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar which may include:
• Performance-based bonuses
• Company-paid training and/or certifications
