Job Summary

As a Nurse you will be accountable for the clinical delivery of nurse led appointments and will be required to support the Vet with procedures as required ensuring we deliver exceptional care always there to our clients patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of regulatory and operational standards and compliance.

Medivet Peterborough Welland Road is a small animal multivet practice currently recruiting for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. The practice is fully equipped including three consult rooms ultrasound dental and digital x-ray etc!

This role is covering 40 hours per week over 5 days between 8:30am-7pm and 1 in 6 Saturdays 8:30am-2:00pm at Medivet Peterborough Bretton.

It would be great if you had a clinical coaching background or interested in carrying this out to support students through their training.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients

  • Support with surgeries and procedures completing all pre and post procedure activity.

  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities

  • Deliver patient monitoring and care

  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team

  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care

  • Dispense and check medication

  • Deliver professional excellence complying with all regulatory practice and operational standards

  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse

  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care

  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team

  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency

  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague
