JOB SUMMARY:
The Operations Manager of Transportation will provide direct oversight of transit operations during the evening shift ensuring real-time decision-making service coordination and front-line staff supervision. This role will require independent judgment and operational control especially during service interruptions safety incidents or customer service issues that arise after regular office hours. This role will also support vendor performance tracking regulatory compliance and coordination of special evening charters and assignments. This role is essential to ensuring the safe efficient and reliable operation of our services throughout the full span of our operational hours.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Second-Shift Operational Oversight - Oversee evening transit operations including the OnDemand service that operates until 2:30 AM. Serve as the highest-ranking on-site. Supervisor during second-shift hours.
Incident Response and Decision-Making - Respond to service interruptions safety concerns or customer complaints in real time. Exercise independent judgment to resolve issues and coordinate with leadership as needed.
Vendor and Contract Oversight - Monitor and report on vendor performance during assigned shift; ensure compliance with contract terms safety protocols and service expectations.
Data Reporting and Service Monitoring - Track service performance metrics and provide nightly reports and recommendations for improvement. Use data to support operational planning.
Coordination of Charter and Special Services - Assist with scheduling and execution of evening and weekend charters or special assignments.
Training and Compliance Support - Support onboarding and training of new staff on second shift. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and transit regulations.
Driver Support - Serve as a backup driver when needed.
