ReceptionistSchedule: MondayFriday 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Location: The Village at Brookwood Burlington NC Position OverviewThe Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents visitors and guests creating a warm welcoming and professional experience for everyone entering our community. This role plays a key part in supporting resident engagement campus communication and front desk operations while maintaining safety confidentiality and exceptional customer service. Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Customer ServiceGreet all residents guests and visitors with warmth professionalism and a service-focused attitude Provide directions and general campus navigation assistance Answer and route incoming calls using a multi-line phone system; take accurate messages as needed Maintain a clean organized and welcoming reception desk and lobby area Stay informed of community events calendars and activities to appropriately guide residents and guests Distribute flyers memos and other communications to resident mailboxes Update the resident informational phone line (8700) daily Maintain and update the Resident Absence Log Receive tag log and distribute packages; notify residents or departments of deliveries
Qualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of two (2) years of customer service hospitality senior services or related experience preferred Two (2) years of post-secondary education may substitute for experience CPR/First Aid certification preferred or ability to obtain Friendly outgoing flexible and positive personality Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to work cooperatively with residents staff and visitors while maintaining patience courtesy and professionalism Commitment to resident rights safety and confidentiality Dependable with strong time management and accountability Comfortable listening to resident family or visitor concerns and escalating issues appropriately
Physical RequirementsAbility to speak hear write bend stoop reach and stretch Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to recognize and report safety hazards and emergency situations Must follow all procedures related to equipment and supply usage
