Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Endoscopy department is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This includes pre-operative and post-operative care assisting with procedures such as Per UD EUS EBUS ERCP ION Colonoscopy and Bronchoscopy and monitoring patients during and after procedures. The role requires on-call responsibilities and the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
Location:Anchorage Alaska United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Assist with procedures such as Per UD EUS EBUS ERCP ION Colonoscopy and Bronchoscopy.
- Monitor patients during and after procedures ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and completely in the electronic medical record.
- Respond to patient needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in on-call rotation including weekends.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Alaska RN license in hand for Auto Offer.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Endoscopy.
- Skills in Per UD EUS EBUS ERCP ION Colonoscopy and Bronchoscopy.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- SGNA certification.
Special Considerations:
- On-call required every 5th weekend.
- Limited RTO: Only 1 time off request per 13-week assignment of 5 days or less. No holiday RTO for Auto Offer.
- Candidates permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility.
Scheduling:
- 4x10 Days (40Hrs)
- Guaranteed Hours: 70 Hours per 2 weeks - Traveler can be called off for 1 10-hour shift per 2 weeks
