Job Overview
We areseekinga versatile and customer-orientedHome Services Technicianto join our team at Marvin Home Center. Thisfull-time role involves hands-on work like drywall finish carpentry and window/door ideal candidateenjoys solving problems and working addition to fieldwork this position includesmaintenance jobs for Marvin Headquartersand Visitors Center andin-store support with sales stocking andinventoryduring slower role also involves being on-call for maintenance and emergency repairs at company-owned Warroad Real Estate properties requiring seasonal checkups and coordination with contractors. This is a full-time position with weekday hours and weekend on-call responsibilities.
Schedule: MondayFriday -call Weekends forWarroad Real Estate.
Highlights of your role
Manageand perform small repair installation and maintenance jobs forresidential and light commercial customersand Marvin Headquartersand Visitor Centerbuildingsincludingbut not limited to:
- Drywall patching and repair
- Siding ang gutter repair
- Basic landscaping and trimming
- Pressure washingand window cleaning
- Window installation and adjustments
- Finish carpentry trim work and custom wood projects
- Shelvingcabinets countertops doors windowcoverings weatherstripping and otherhandymantasks
Provide on-site evaluations to recommend solutions and materials.
Deliver excellent customer service both in-store and at job sites.
Safelyoperatehand and power tools in compliance with company and safety guidelines.
Maintainaccuraterecords of work completed materials used and time spent.
Load transport and unload materials for projects as needed.
Collaborate with store staff to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet customer expectations.
This person will also be on call forcompany-ownedWarroad Real Estate properties.
- Performingroutine maintenance
- Seasonal checkups
- Emergency repairs
Coordinating advanced repairs with preferred contractorsand managing the needed repairs until completion
Youre a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Provenhandyman maintenance or construction experience.
- Required skills: drywall repair windowand doorinstallation and finish carpentry.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working at various heights on ladders and in confined/small spaces when needed.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Ability tolift work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
