The Role
This is a key role where you will produce occasionally present programs for ABC Sunshine Coast and create content for multiple platforms to engage local and national audiences.
The Job
- Provide in-studio production support and manage talk-back callers and guests.
- Create content across a number of platforms including digital video social media scripts interviews and radio programs
- Identify and deliver original regional stories to a local and national audience
- Develop strong contacts and break stories
- Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required.
- Create local content that can be shared with other content teams across the ABC.
- This role includes shift work.
Position Description: PROGRAM
About You
To be a success in this role you will have strong program making and presentation skills with a proven ability to develop and make original and engaging audio and cross-platform content for the target audience.
Youll have:
- You have a thorough understanding of cross-platform content production
- Youre savvy with social media and online content and know how to engage a diverse demographic
- You have a track record of producing and/or presenting high quality contemporary radio
- Youre passionate about local current affairs social issues business technology and culture
- You have a sound knowledge of the region as well as national and international issues
