Job Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Process Engineer to support the development of innovative technologies for rare earth recovery and purification from both primary and secondary feedstocks. This role will contribute to research and development activities pilot plant operations and process scale-up efforts. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with hands-on experience in process design and implementation.


Key Responsibilities:

Data Centralization & Governance

  • Stand up and own a single-source-of-truth drill-hole and resource database. Load and fully validate all historic and new drilling data.
  • Build a parallel metallurgical / process test-work database.
  • Implement QA/QC workflows version control and audit trails acceptable to S-K 1300 QPs.

Analytics & Dashboard Acceleration

  • Create Power BI or Spotfire dashboards for: Resource and grade control readiness as well as processing pilot and demo campaigns.
  • Perform statistical analyses to help technical staff answer key questions

PFS/FS & Project Delivery Support

  • Generate data packs for the EPCM and external QP every month.
  • Support resource classification upgrade arguments with robust statistics and visuals.
  • Enable real-time reconciliation once the demonstration plant comes online.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Data Science Geostatistics or a related field.
  • 510 years of experience in the resource industry including at least 3 years managing drill-hole or metallurgical databases.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python with the ability to develop clean reusable scripts for data quality control and analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI Spotfire or Tableau.
  • Strong applied statistics background.
  • Effective communicator capable of translating needs across geology metallurgy and management teams.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced lean pre-production environment.
  • Able to partner with technical and project leads to determine data and reporting requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting NI 43-101 / JORC / S-K 1300 resource reports or PEA/PFS/FS studies (ideally with a QP or major/minor mining company).
  • Familiarity with machine-learning applications in mining/metallurgy (recovery prediction domain clustering).
  • Experience integrating geophysical data or mineralogy outputs.

Work Environment:
The work environment will be a mix of a typical office environment laboratory space manufacturing floor and construction site.

Noise level:

Exposure will vary and include normal office noise typical laboratory sounds (e.g. ventilation systems equipment operation) manufacturing floor noise (e.g. machinery forklifts) and construction site noise depending on project phase and location.
